Business
OSHA Compliance
The grooming industry is changing. OSHA is watching, and disgruntled employees, or even the angry Doodle owner, can file a report with OSHA. The average OSHA fine is $15,000. Do you have that on hand to throw away? Most don’t, so let’s get you prepared before the inspector shows up with the clipboard and starts checking off boxes that will cost you money. This course includes: Chemical Safety, Ventilation, & Noise. This module covers mandatory safety standards, SDS (Safety Data Sheets), and environmental management to keep your salon 100% compliant. $197
Labor Law & Pay Structure Intensive
In 2026, the “industry standard” for pay is no longer a legal shield; it’s a liability. With the Department of Labor tightening the “Economic Reality” test for contractors and implementing new, aggressive overtime salary thresholds, many salon owners are unknowingly operating on a foundation of high-risk practices. This intensive moves beyond theory and into tactical execution, auditing your current W2 vs. 1099 classifications and breaking down the “Commission Trap.” You will learn how to navigate the complex math of “Regular Rate of Pay” for overtime and ensure your commission-based models meet every federal and state requirement for minimum wage and transparency.
This is the “Compliance Shield” every pet professional needs to move from a vulnerable boss to an ironclad CEO. By the end of this session, you will have a step-by-step roadmap for implementing legal pay structures, standardized record-keeping, and “Future Proof” employee handbooks that protect your business from disgruntled claims and costly audits. We are moving past the “handshake and a hope” era of employment—it’s time to build a professional, profitable, and protected workforce that allows you to scale your salon with absolute confidence and zero legal anxiety. $97
Customer Service & Customer Relations
Customer service is one of the most important aspects of our industry. It’s also where many groomers fall short. You don’t need to cave to unreasonable demands to have good customer service. You do need to know the tips and tricks that will help you to keep that customer despite you saying no and have them then rave about how you cared for their pet.
We care for animals in this business, but we also must care for their owners, and in order to do so we must recognize that the need is there. I will show you simple solutions to universal problems, and how to make the customer feel that you not only care for their pet, but you care about them as well. That care is the cornerstone of a prosperous business.
I will teach you how to create an atmosphere of trust, understood expectations, and lifetime customers. This is a one hour PGC approved course. $97

Skin & Coat
15 Coat Types
The Dog is the most physically diverse single species of mammal on Earth. While there has never been an official list of the different dog coat types for the grooming industry, maybe there ought to be! Jennifer has compiled a list, based on years of discussion with experts and industry leaders, that is helping to revolutionize the grooming industry and standardize best practices about what specific and separate grooming strategies are required for each of the 15 Coat Types. Each one has “Do’s and Don’ts” based on the scientific, genetic, and physical structure of the hair or fur of that type of dog. While individual dogs vary even within breeds, knowing what products, tools, and techniques are appropriate to the coat type in front of you is essential. Combination coats, that have the problems of both Fur and Hair, will also be addressed. After this seminar, you will be able to set yourself apart as the groomer who is an expert on differentiating coat types and, instead of treating them all the same, the groomer who gives each unique dog’s coat its proper care.

There will be numerous pictures, trigger alert!! Images may be disturbing to the sensitive!
Tools & Shears
All Things Shears & Beyond
It’s fairly safe to say that shears are a groomer’s best friend, but how much do we really know about them? There are so many options! Straights, curves, convex edges, and bevels. What’s the difference anyway? Serrated, semi-convex, and titanium coated? Wait, what? Swivels should be held differently from non-swivel shears? Straights, curved, chunkers and thinners, swivels and non-swivels, the options are seemingly endless; how’s a groomer to choose? Never fear; we’ll cover all of this and more; we need to know how to hold them, know why they’re folding hair, and when we should run. Today’s two-hour class will take a deep dive into shears but also talk about clippers, vac systems, and other tools that can be used to improve our grooming ergonomics and our lives. $97
Equipment Woes
This class is geared towards those of us who use the same thing over and over, are afraid to branch out, or are new to finding your style.
